We have the benefit of a very strong local Scouting community. Our local council, the Potawatomi Area Council is the only council in the state, and one of a few in the country, that does not charge additional Council Dues to help run the Scouting Program. Our council is funded through the generosity of our scouting families and local businesses. After learning about all of the benefits, we hope your family will consider a donation to the 2023 Family Friends of Scouting Campaign.
The cost to Council to run the local program is $295 for each scout. As a pack, our goal for the year is $55 per scout — under $5 per month. For anyone making a pledge (of any amount) your family will earn sweet water bottle stickers! If you are able to contribute $200 you will earn a special Friends of Scouting donor shoulder patch. Any family that is able to fully fund a scout at $295 will also earn a BSA-branded USB charger.
Thank you to all of the families that donated or pledged at the Pinewood Derby! If you weren’t there, or if you are ready to pledge now, you can do so on the Potawatomi Area Council Website. When filing out your pledge, please be sure to specify Pack 63 as your Unit, and Prairie Fox as your district.
